Welcome to sonsigns Bible and book review site. I am really exited that you stop by and understand that you want to know a little more about the author of this blog. My name is William (Bobby) Cato. I am a Christian blogger and love to read and write. I have combined these three skills (Blogging, reading, & writing) together in order to review bible and books. I love using the written word and I also don't like the fact of leaving anyone out that has a hearing handicap such as deafness. This blogger is deaf in my right ear and hard of hearing in my left, so I completely understand this kind of handicap. Along with my video's I am also writing out my review hopefully in an entertaining way.  

That is what this site is all about.

I am very blessed to be married to my wonderful wife Helen Shelton Cato, for 36 years as of March 2 2021. We have two awesome adult children and one grand baby girl Kinsley Grace Fleming.

I was born September 7, 1966 and born again October 15, 1986 during a revival at a small backwoods Baptist church in Brumley, Missouri. The evangelist was Pastor Mike Parish, and he preached trhough the book of Revelations.

  Is the NASB 2020 edition any good? The NASB edition is a word for word translation of the Greek and Hebrew text based on Rudolf Kittel's Biblia Hebraica Dead Sea Scrolls for the Old Testament and Nestle-Aland Novum Testamentum Graece for the New Testament. I have read a few of the critical text versions including:   CSB Christian standard   ESV English standard   NIV '84 New international NRSV New Revised standard  Out of all of these other version that are based on the Critical text found in the mid 1800's, I have found that they drop partial verses, complete verses and in the case of the NIV '84 it actually states after Mark 16:8 basically the rest of the chapter is was not found in the older text.  This will be discussed in a future post.  Now after only a month of reading the NASB 2020 for a short time, I have read through all of Genesis, Exodus, Job, almost trough with the Psalms, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, and I am almost through with Ezekiel

Best recipes for the slow cooker

  The slow cooker or also known as the "Crock Pot(R)" which shouldn't be interchanged but commonly does. The Crock Pot is a brand name of slow cooker that was first introduced in 1970 as a no-nonsense way for cooking beans. That's just a little known fact. Slow cookers are  basically a ceramic pot which gets heated by electric elements shrouded inside of a thin metallic body. Slow cookers are the most under appreciated work horses in the home kitchen today. Recently I purchased a cookbook on Amazon titled "5 ingredients Crock Pot Cookbook," by Laura Sandlin. Her cook book of recipes have no images of the food which is for many will be a turn off. For the experienced home cook it could be a plus, simply because the home cook can take images of their food at any stage of the cooking process.  Great for showing your friends past recipes.   I have at this point only cook one simple recipe from the book.
