Book Review: Overview

I started and finished reading this book in one sitting. It wasn't to long of a book, 65 pages with 5 chapters. It was a pretty easy to read. My mother in Law, loaned me this book because on October 17,2019 God gave me a prophetic dream. I did not understand what the dream meant at the time, I just knew that the Lord gave it to me.

This wasn't the first time he gave me a prophetic dream like the one I mentioned. Usually when God gives me a dream it is because he wants me to start praying for or against what will happen soon.
I have added this dream to the bottom of this post. If you feel inclined to pray with me please do.

What the mystery of dreams is about

The mystery of dreams, starts off with the author telling about a beagle puppy he had that went missing for two months and in a dream the Lord showed him the puppy and that he will be getting him back. Rabbi Schneider, in this book talks about many dreams that he had that were prophetic in nature. Most of the dreams he sites were about his growth in the Lord Jesus Christ, and concerning his ministry.

He begins by teaching you, How God speaks to us through dreams.  The difference between dreams, and visions. He sites several scriptures including Joel 2: 27-28, Acts 2: 1-8, 12. Then goes on to teach how to prepare to receive dreams from God, how to hear Gods Voice in dreams, where dreams come from, different type of dreams and how to receive revelation from dreams.

There are five keys that I don't mind sharing from the book, that you might find interesting. Rabbi Schneider, instructs the reader before going to bed you need to...

  1. Ask him to speak
  2. Capture his words
  3. Pray for confirmation
  4. Pray to understand the dream
  5. Come into agreement with the dream God gave you.

Now I never sought after dreams from God and I have received two very prophetic dreams. One you have a chance to read at the end of this review. I always believed if God wanted to reveal something to me in a dream I would know that the dream came from God, just as assuredly as I know if someone places their hand on my shoulder.

Jesus tells us in John 10:27 "My sheep hear my Voice."

Rabbi Schneider, keeps the best for last.  The very last chapter he teaches why and how you should write your dreams down in a journal. He includes 124 lined journal pages in part two of the book for you to fill up with your own prophetic dreams.

Conclusion the mystery of dreams

The Mystery of Dreams: A teaching and journaling experience, was a pretty fast read. I wasn't bored at all in any part of this book. But it was only 65 pages long, which took me two and a half hours to read. I was also surprised by how good the information was compared to other Christian dreams books that I have thumb through. Most of those were just plain garbage because they teach you how to interpret dreams by a new age yard stick, if you know what I mean.

I did not have high hopes for this one either. As I started reading I felt as if I was brought into the stories of Rabbi Schneider's dreams and teaching message and felt compelled to keep turning those pages until I finished the last page, which by the way concludes with a prayer for you.

All in all, I give this book Three stars out of five. Simply because it was a good teaching on how to receive dreams from God that could change your life. The teaching was a bit generic and basically you are purchasing a journal
